OPIC AL 도전 - 2) OPIC 12가지 유형

이전 포스팅에서 OPIC 시험에 대한 이해를 마쳤다면,

12가지 유형에 대해서 이해해보자.

OPIC에는 총 12가지 유형이 존재한다.

사실 크게 이야기하자면, 자기소개를 제외한다면, 네가지로 구분할 수 있을 것이다.

 

첫번째, 묘사 <= 장소/ 인물/ 사물 설명 및 묘사하기

두번째, 비교 <= 과거와 현재 비교하기 / 시작한 계기 이야기하기

세번째, 경험 <= 인상 깊은 경험/문제해결 경험 이야기하기

네번째, 이슈 <= 이슈를 설명하고 본인 생각 이야기하기

 

Topic은 survey 및 돌발 주제를 통해 결정되지만

해당 topic에 따른 문제 유형은 총 12가지이기 때문에

topic (20가지) * 문제 유형 (12가지) = 총 240 문제를 익히면 해결이다.

여기서 240문제 에 대한 답변을 일일히 준비할 필요가 없다.

전략적으로 준비한다면, 생략할 부분은 생략하고, reuse할 부분이 분명히 있으므로,

먼저 문제 유형을 살펴 보고 전략을 준비해보자.

 

가장 첫번째 유형인 Self Introduction에 대해서 알아보자

1. Self Introduction

자기 소개 문항은 항상 첫번째로 나오는 문항이다.

항상 첫문제로 시작하고 시험 점수에는 영향을 주지 않으나,

발화 전 목풀기로 생각하고 시험장에서 긴장을 푸는 용으로 생각하면 될 것 같다.

나는 WORK 항목을 survey에 선택하여 이 자기 소개 문항과 함께 준비할 예정이다.

대부분 일과 관련 된 항목이 매우 까다로워, 무직으로 선택하는 경우가 많은데

실제로 직장인이라면, 해당 업무내용 소개정도는 영어로 할 수 있어야한다고 생각되며,

어차피 자기소개에서 준비한 내용을 WORK topic에서 reuse할 수 있어서 충분히 선택해도 된다고 본다.

Useful Expressions

사는 곳 a small town, a large city 직업 a manager, a engineer 하는 일  working on the computer. Preparing presentations Writing reports 취미 listening music, watching TV series, playing soccer… 성격 outgoing, open minded, chatty person 하고싶은 것 change careers, open my own advertising firm.

일반 문제의 경우 도입전에 문제를 확인하는 한두문장을 넣어주고 시간을 벌어주고, 문제를 이해함을 보여주며 자연스러움을 추가해주자.

도입 - introduction = topic sentence = why? = get rid of possible 'why'

=> example / details / contrast

 

2. 대상 설명하기 - 인물

인물 소개 이름  My favorite ________’s name is … The person I’d like to talk about is _______________

인물 특징 외모 He/ she got He looks older/ younger than his /her age 성격 As for his/her personality, he/she is a bit He / she is _______ [ 형용사 a dj]

내 생각 장점 I like him/her because I like him/her for _____________.

빈출 문제  Tell me about one of your friends. Can you tell me about your neighbors? Tell me about your favorite actor or actress / Musician.

3. 대상 설명하기 - 장소

장소 소개 이름 종류  I live in ___________________________. 위치 It is located __________ minutes from _____________. ___________ is based in

장소 나열 Living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, home appliances.. It is special because ________________________.

생각 좋아하는 이유  __________ is a perfect/ ideal place to 아쉬운 점

빈출 문제  I want to know where you live. Can you describe you home to me ? Tell me about your favorite room. What does it look like? My favorite park. My favorite Café. My favorite vacation spot. Bank/ hotel. Favorite Restaurant

4. 대상 설명하기 – 사물

가장 빈출이나, 시제를 다루기가 까다로워 어려운 문제임

5. Comparison [ 두가지 대상 비교하기]

6. 습관 / 경향
